After a two-year delay of our scheduled 75th Anniversary celebration, we held a reunion of the ARS in its founding city, Portland, Oregon. With a few revisions, the elements of the planned 2020 convention, including the Pre-Tour (new dates: May 2-3) and Post-Tour (new dates: May 8-10), were included with even more enhancements to the original features. At the convention, we expressed our sincere sorrow at the loss of HAROLD GREER, who co-chaired prior ARS Spring International Conventions–along with Fall Regional Conferences–and had already put in a lot of hard work as co-chair of ARS2022. A scroll of those rhododendron members who were lost over the two years since the previous convention was displayed for attendees at the opening night session on May 4.
